This Privacy Policy explains how the Egari Chrome extension (“the extension”, “we”, “us”) handles user data. We take your privacy seriously and aim to keep all processing transparent and minimal.

1. What Egari Does

Egari enhances supported real estate websites by tracking your own uploads (for example, when you publish or update listings) and showing you detailed statistics about these uploads inside the extension’s options page. To provide this functionality, Egari records basic metadata about your upload activity and stores it securely in our database.

2. Information We Collect

Egari only collects limited technical data necessary to generate your personal upload statistics. We do not collect sensitive personal information or the contents of the files you upload to external websites.

Specifically, Egari may collect:

• The fact that an upload request was made (an “upload event”).
• The domain where the upload happened (e.g., a supported real estate site).
• Technical metadata such as timestamps and upload identifiers linked to your user profile.

Egari does not collect or store the contents of the uploaded files or detailed form data beyond what is needed to confirm that an upload occurred.

3. How We Use This Information

The data we collect is used solely to generate and display your upload statistics, for example:

• The number of uploads you have made over time.
• Summary counts or charts related to your activity.

We do not use this data for advertising, third-party analytics, or user profiling. It is used only for your personal dashboard and performance tracking within the Egari extension.

4. Where the Data Is Stored

Your upload statistics are securely stored in our managed cloud database so that your information can be accessed across sessions and devices (when you are using Egari with the same account).

We take reasonable precautions to protect this data, including encryption in transit and restricted access controls. You can request deletion of your stored data at any time by contacting us.

5. Permissions Used

Egari requests the following Chrome extension permissions in order to function:

• webRequest – used to detect upload-related network requests on supported websites so the extension can record an “upload event” and update your statistics.
• storage (if used) – used to store your settings and any cached data locally in your browser.
• activeTab / scripting (if used) – used to inject UI elements and track relevant actions within supported pages.

These permissions are used only for the purposes described above. Egari does not use them to collect your full browsing history or to track you across unrelated websites.

6. Data Sharing

Egari does not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties. Your data is only used within our systems to provide your upload statistics and to maintain and improve the extension.

7. Your Choices and Control

You have several options to control your data:

• You can clear stored statistics or reset your account from the extension’s options page (if provided).
• You can request deletion of all associated data by contacting us.
• You can disable or uninstall the extension at any time from your browser’s extensions settings.

8. Children’s Privacy

Egari is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age and is designed for adults who manage real estate listings. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the extension after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
